Lombard Street Lane Closures Now in Effect in Vicinity of South Street for Utility Work

Portion of South Street is also closed to through traffic

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary lane closures are now in effect along a portion of Lombard Street in the vicinity of South Street for utility work.

At this time, three lanes of Lombard Street are closed to through traffic between Market Place and South Street.  One lane of vehicular travel on Lombard Street, along with the bus lane remain open in this vicinity.  In addition, South Street is now closed to through traffic between Lombard Street and Water Street. 

These closures are expected to remain in place overnight, depending on the progress of repairs.   Motorists traveling in this vicinity are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid significant delays.  Commuters are encouraged to download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation.
