Temporary Closure of N. Dukeland Street

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that a portion of N. Dukeland Street will temporarily close this weekend for the installation of a new temporary traffic pattern.

Starting at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022, N. Dukeland Street will be closed to through traffic between Liberty Heights Avenue and Gwynns Falls Parkway with detours in effect, weather permitting.  This portion of N. Dukeland Street will remain closed until approximately 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2022

Local traffic will be maintained for area businesses and facilities along N. Dukeland Street during this time.  All through northbound and southbound traffic can utilize nearby Hilton Road, Powhatan Avenue, North Longwood Street and Reisterstown Road as a detour route.

Once the roadway reopens, the new temporary traffic pattern will consist of lane shifts, temporary speed humps, and reduced speed signage along N. Dukeland Street near Liberty Heights Avenue.  This temporary traffic pattern is being installed for worker and pedestrian safety while sewer installation work is being performed, and is expected to remain in place for approximately 4 weeks.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
