Traffic Modifications for the Port to Fort 6K

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the Port to Fort 6K Family Run/Walk which will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 starting at 8:30 a.m.

The event will begin at the intersection of Fort Avenue and Whetstone Way.  Participants will proceed west on Fort Avenue, left on Belt Street, left on Randall Street, left on Webster Street and right back onto Fort Avenue.  Runners will follow Fort Avenue into Fort McHenry, complete a lap inside the fort and will exit Fort McHenry heading westbound on Fort Avenue.  Participants will turn left on Whetstone Way to finish. 

In preparation for the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible.  Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the event for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
