Portion of Northbound Light Street to Temporarily Close this Weekend

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that a portion of northbound Light Street will close this weekend for the demolition of a pedestrian bridge. 

Starting at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 05, 2016 northbound Light Street will be closed to through traffic between Conway and Pratt Streets with detours in effect.  This portion of Light Street will remain closed to through traffic until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, August 08, 2016.  

Detour signs and variable message signs will be posted in the area to alert motorists of the closure.  Commuters utilizing northbound Light Street will be detoured west onto Conway Street, north on Charles Street and east on Pratt Street. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
