Heavy Volumes of Traffic Expected Downtown This Evening for Justin Bieber Concert

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that heavy traffic volumes are expected in downtown Baltimore later today, Thursday, July 07, 2016 for the Justin Bieber concert.  The event will be held at Royal Farms Arena beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The concert, along with other downtown events, may cause traffic congestion and delays during the afternoon and evening commutes.

Motorists who will be traveling downtown this afternoon are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional travel time.  Traffic delays may occur in the downtown area and temporary traffic stops may be implemented.

Commuters should strongly consider using alternative modes of transportation, such as MTA buses, Light Rail, the Metro Subway System or the Charm City Circulator to access the downtown area.  Patrons choosing to drive to the event should park at commercial lots/garages and avoid area neighborhoods.  Parking Control Agents will enforce all posted parking restrictions and vehicles parked in violation may be ticketed and towed.  Citizens with questions concerning the location of their vehicles should call 311.
