Traffic Modifications for the Festival of India

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications for the Festival of India which will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Inner Harbor’s McKeldin Square. 

Starting at 12:30 p.m., a parade will kick off at the intersection of Key Highway and Light Street.  Participants will proceed north along Light Street and end at McKeldin Square, where the festival will be held. 

In preparation for the event, the following lane closures will be implemented:

  • Southbound Light Street left lane closure at McKeldon Square for set-up on Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Double lane closures along Key Highway and Light Street from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Southbound Light Street left lane closure at McKeldon Square for breakdown on Sunday, May 29, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

During the procession, temporary traffic stops may be implemented for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity may experience delays and should consider using alternate routes.
