Heavy Volumes of Traffic Expected Downtown This Week for Graduation Ceremonies

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that heavy traffic volumes are expected in downtown Baltimore this week Tuesday, May 17 through Friday, May 20, 2016.  Graduation ceremonies, along with other downtown events, will be held at various times each day which may cause traffic congestion and delays during the morning and afternoon commutes.

Motorists who will be traveling downtown Tuesday through Friday are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional travel time.  Traffic delays may occur at various locations downtown, and temporary traffic stops may be implemented.

Commuters should strongly consider using alternative modes of transportation, such as MTA buses, Light Rail, the Metro Subway System or the Charm City Circulator to access the downtown area.
